Tower Junction Box A.K.A Robotman!

Tower Junction Box A.K.A Robotman!

My base plate from I.C.E came in and I decided to roll up my sleeves and get busy on the Tower Junction Box. I had to run all the cabling through 2″ pvc sched 80 and then get to work on the inside of the box. Due to the recent rain we had there was corrosion present that needed to be clean first. I cleaned the rust and put a coat of primer on the entire inside of the box. I then painted the back of the box gloss white and mounted the back panel. I can tape off the back panel at a later date and finish the painting. I also sealed up any remaining holes in the box and in the next month or so will go out and finish the outside of the box also. Nothing flashy just basic Battleship gray.

In the pictures you can see the I.C.E (Industrial Communications Engineers) EMP/Surge suppressors and the I.C.E switch box mounted. There is still a lot of work to do before this project is complete but it is heading in the right direction.

In one of the pictures you can see a trailer hitch electrical plug, I use this as my quick disconnect for my rotor. In the near future I will get some lightning/emp suppressors for the cabling from I.C.E. They make a good valued product at an affordable price, just be prepared to wait on your order. If you order one of their products give it at the minimum 4 weeks until delivery.
